Dear Paul

I sold the Seaboard bonds? took out paid up $1500 in liberty bonds already had 1000? and transfered the balance of my account together  with Brazilian Traction to your account.  I rather think we ought to get out of debt before we speculate any more & I am going to see you get out soon.  I am glad you have determined to ask a raise,  It should be done & quick.  One of my dearest friends married the Govs. daughter (Mr. Leeming?) & I am sure that any help he can give to have the fair thing done will be cheerfully given.  Tomorrow I am going to N.Y. returning the 21st.  I shall  try to see Daugherty.  Have talked to Baehr &  will see him on my return he wants to help us get the raise.  I will stay here three or four days after the 21st & then start for Greeley.  Get things ready the best you can & if you have any other suggestions to make before I start have a letter here the 21st[.]
