Dear Paul

The last report is Mighty good.  It begins to look as if you were coming out all right with the Co.  It seems as if we ought to get in on the oil, but do as you please about it.  I dont know how I shall come out in the case.  It is an awfull hard fight and the papers have been so rotten that the feeling runs high.  However I am hopeful of succeeding in saving their lives.  It will probably be over in about two weeks and I shall be out some time this fall.  Am not going to stick so closely to work any more, so I will have more time
