Feby.  3rd

Dear Paul

Yours containing Drafts just received am sending word to Noyes as you suggest.  If it isnt correct you can write it as they wish and sign my name by you.  I told you to sell all of my stocks and use the money so it ought to be all right.  I am quite sure that I will have no trouble about the cold weather.  I shall stay inside and while there is some blustery weather in March there is seldom any that is very cold.  I shall have a few addresses and debates just to add to the party of Nations, and make a little money[.]  Tell Blance I will write her the third chapter about Cannes tomorrow.  I am trying to give her a A very careful picture of the city interspersed with history etc.etc.

C.S.D.

I am glad you saw Donersburg.  He is a good fellow perhaps a little dreary.  You had better use your time making and reviewing acquaintances.  I think you had better not close my account with the Amalgamated until I get home, on account of their holding 100. S Pa in N.Y.  I shall try to get the matter xxx settled on my return, but I dont want to personally offend them unless I am on the ground[.]

D.
