March 3rd

Dear Paul

Got your letter yesterday and shall probably not hear from you again until I get to N.Y.  I shall stop a while in the east and shall make a few talks and perhaps have one or two debates.  Will probably get to Chicago on March 31st[.]  I shall not go out in any cold weather.  If I need to go any where will take a taxi as I generally have done any how.  Of course there would be no sense for you to take a job out side of Chicago.  I am not sure that you need one any how, we will figure it out when I get home.  You might work out my income tax.  You know about what my income is outside of some speeches and a little law stuff and my profits at Noyes & Jackson which you can have them figure out,

Love to Lil & the other kids

I suppose when Blanche hears that I am coming back she will go to Greeley.
