Big Bill Haywood

Haywood's narrow escape from the gallows in 1907 did not persuade him to give up radical labor politics. In 1908 he was ousted from the Western Federation of Miners leadership. In 1915 Haywood became the official leader of the Industrial Workers of the World (I.W.W.) the same organization he help found in 1905.
