Cover from pamphlet containing an Italian translation of a debate titled "Does Man Live Again?" between Clarence Darrow and Michael A. Musmanno held at Carnegie Music Hall, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, December 12, 1932. Michael Angelo Musmanno (1897 - 1968) was a United States Naval officer and a Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and politician in the Pennsylvania legislature. Musmanno rose to the rank of Rear Admiral in the United States Navy and at the end of World War II served on the International Military Tribunal at the Nuremberg Trials. He also led the investigation to determine if Adolf Hitler died at the end of the war. He later served as an appellate attorney for Sacco and Vanzetti. Musmanno was also a staunch anti-communist. In 1961 he was a witness for the prosecution in the trial of Adolf Eichmann.
