Dear Paul

I have just struck a new book which is really a wonder. I was so much impressed with it that I bought one at McClurgs & ordered it sent to Jacobs. It is the life of Voltaire[.] I want you to read it after he gets through. If Jacobs has some copies of the Twain stuff made, he might have as many struck off as the girl can handle & give me one. If he doesnt I can have it done here[.]
